"How would you describe your personal style? If you could describe your style in three words, what would they be?" -asks anyone who's ever inquired about my personal style.
(please pause while I scratch my head in search for the right answer)
. . .
After several moments of head scratching and after several different occasions of not fully knowing exactly how to answer those questions, I've finally come to the conclusion that there really is no right way to answer that question. At least, not for me there isn't. These types of questions have always been daunting to me and have been my least favorite questions to answer simply because I've never really known how to describe my style. The reality is, it's actually a little bit of everything. Monday, I can be full on Boho chic, on Tuesday, be a little goth/ grundge- like, while on Wednesday, I can be preppy and then completely clean it up and be classy and elegant by Thursday. It really just depends, honestly. I wake up everyday in a different mood and those different moods determine my different outfits. Because of this, whenever I'm faced with answering these types of questions, I often ask the inquirer, "how would YOU describe my style?" It's always fun to hear their replies because they're never really wrong. How they interpret it is completely correct because my style is so many things. The truth is, my style is completely indefinable and constantly changing. However, that's the beauty of fashion. It grants you the ability of self expression in any way that you see fit for everyday of the week.
